Mildred Grabman Holmes, 87, Crawfordsville, died 3:25 a.m. Saturday in Ben Hur Nursing Home.

Mrs. Holmes was previously a secretary at Winona Hospital, Indianapolis, and affiliated with the Methodist Church. She attended Darlington schools.

She was born April 27, 1916, at Darlington, to Daniel and Lucy Gobel Long. She married Arthur Grabman in 1935. He died in 1980. She then married Roy Tapy, who is now deceased. She then married Louis Holmes, who is also deceased.

Survivors include a son, Phillip L. Grabman, Greenfield; two daughters, Betty Gregory, California, and Judie Esra, Lake Holiday; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A son, Thomas Grabman, died in August 1998. Five brothers and four sisters are also deceased.

Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m. Thursday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with the Rev. Velma Keesling officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call noon until time of services Thursday in the funeral home. - thanks to Jeff & the Journal-Review
